Olympia Outboard Club

A recreational club, enjoying over fifty years of salt water boating.

Come boating with us!

History and Purpose

In 1950, six avid boaters got together to form the Olympia Outboard Boating Club. Since then, the club has grown into a group of active boaters who enjoy all types of boating and family recreation here on our Puget Sound and all waters abound. The club's purpose is to serve the interests of boaters who navigate the Puget Sound along with other bodies of water. We support action against pollution, exchange boating information, and promote safety for those enjoying leisure activities on the water. The present location of the clubhouse is at the end of Steamboat Island. It was purchased in 1968. As the club grew, 150 feet of seasonal docks were added, 6 RV sites w/power, 2 kitchens, a shower, toilets, and a bulkhead with stairs. It a great club with a long history.
